Tickets for the World Cup final, which went for online sale, will cost the average fan a pretty hefty amount as there are just two prices available - Rs. 12,500 and Rs. 18,750.
But there are just 3000 tickets available for the general public at the Wankhede for the final, out of which 1000 are being sold online right now as part of the ballot system put in place by the ICC.
Buyers have to place a request online. At the end of that, a lottery will be conducted to pick out the lucky ones who will be allotted the tickets.
Tickets have gone for sale online for the two semifinals as well, which are to be held at Colombo and Mohali.
