India and New Zealand will kick-off the T20I series with the first match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday. The match will begin at 7 PM IST and 01:30 PM GMT. Speaking at a pre-match conference, Rohit admitted that India have to get the template right in the T20 format, which is hurting them a bat. He said, "I think the template, it's a very important one. I think we just need to set the template right and we've got some time to do that.
"There are little holes that we need to fill up and make sure that is looked after. That will be the biggest challenge that we'll have as it team to do that. There are holes in every team, but it's just that, you know, you try and maximise that, the better for you,” he added.
