Play has been abandoned for the day at The Oval due to relentless rain. The entire day's play has been washed out without a ball bowled. This Test match is certainly heading towards a draw with still the first innings to be completed going into Day 5.

Update at start of play: Persistent rain has delayed the start of play on the penultimate day of the fifth and final Ashes Test at The Oval in London. The Test match is certainly heading towards a draw as the first innings is yet to be completed with England still having six wickets in hand. The morning session of Day 4 is already washed out with lunch to be taken 30 minutes ahead of the original schedule.
