Delhi Capitals beat Kings XI Punjab in the first Super Over in the second match of IPL 2020 on Sunday. The game saw numerous heroes. Delhi’s Marcus Stoinis slammed 53 from 21, and also picked up two wickets in the last over that took the match into the Super Over. Kagiso Rabada then bowled the decisive Super Over, dismissing KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran.
We had a nail biter in Dubai as Delhi Capitals managed to somehow get over the line in their first match against the Kings XI Punjab. Stoinis starred with both bat and ball in the last overs of both of the innings and a magnificent 89 by Mayank Agarwal went in vain as Delhi registered their first points of the season.
Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals will face off in the second match of IPL 2020 in Dubai on Sunday. Over the years, both Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals have been heavy under-achievers in the tournament, so they would be keen to set the record right. A winning start will be the first step towards the same.
Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders will take on each other in what will be a do-or-die contest in match number 52 of the Indian Premier League at Mohali on Friday. Both the teams will need a win to stay in contention as they have 10 points from 12 games. KKR are ahead on net run-rate though.
