Stadium Australia in Sydney Olympic Park to host its first ever Cricket International tomorrow!

Stadium Australia or the ANZ Stadium makes it Debut tomorrow hosting the Australia Vs India, KFC T20I Match

Tomorrow we will have another international venue coming up in Cricket with the multi-purpose Stadium Australia all set to host the First KFC T20I between the hosts and India. Stadium Australia is under the name ANZ Stadium because of sponsorship obligations. This venue had hosted the Sydney Thunder team in the recently concluded Big Bash League and has the stadium has an amazing capacity of around 83,000!

Established in 1999, Stadium Australia was built to be a venue for multi-sporting events during the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Interestingly Stadium Australia can be changed from rectangular shape to oval shape and vice-versa in just 12 hours! This venue boasts of hosting five different sports - Rugby League, Rugby Union, Australia Rules Football, Football and Cricket!

Stadium Australia is in the record books as it has as many as 112,524 spectators in a single session during an Olympic event in 2000. The crowd capacity has been trimmed down to 80,000 plus after some renovation work. Tomorrow will be the big day for this venue on whether it can turn out to be an excellent venue or not for International Cricket.
