Left-handed opening batsman Imran Farhat has withdrawn himself from the 2-match Test Series in Zimbabwe citing personal reasons.

Left-handed opening batsman Imran Farhat has withdrawn himself from the 2-match Test Series in Zimbabwe citing personal reasons. It is learnt that Farhat has dropped out from the series to attend his wife who is suffering from bad health. The 31-year-old has so far played 40 Tests and 58 ODIs ever since making his international debut a decade ago.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has named rookie left-hander Shan Masood as Farhat’s replacement. Shan Masood is 23 years of age and has the distinction of representing Pakistan Under 19s in the past.
