Opener Shikhar Dhawan, who made a fantastic 143 at Mohali in a losing cause accepted that the home team misjudged the conditions which played a crucial role in their defeat.

India posted 358 on the board and yet ended up losing as dew did not allow the bowlers to grip the ball and Ashton Turner took full advantage of the same to stun India with an incredible knock.

Dhawan admitted that Team India misjudged the conditions for the second game in a row. "We had expected dew would be a factor in the last game and it didn't come and here, we didn't expect dew in this game and it came very heavily," Dhawan said in a PTI report

Dhawan felt after scoring 358 Australia would be under pressure but that did not turn out to be the case.."So of course, when you put such a totals on the board, it's always pressure for the other sides and not our bowlers and we were quite in control till 38th over. But then ball started coming so nicely and the bounce was true that you could play any shot on that surface," Dhawan added.

The opener said the dew factor completely took the game away from India. "Because of the dew, the ball was not gripping and of course he (Ashton Turner) played really a good knock and took the game away. But he couldn't have played those shots had there been no dew," Dhawan said.
