South Africa eased to a 73-run win in their One Day Tour Match against the Sri Lanka Cricket Board President’s XI today at the Colts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.

South Africa eased to a 73-run win in their One Day Tour Match against the Sri Lanka Cricket Board President’s XI today at the Colts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo. The visitors batting first posted 271 for 6 in 50 overs with JP Duminy scoring 92 from 100 balls. All the specialist batsmen of the Proteas got amongst the runs.

The SL Board President team was bowled out for 198 in 44.5 overs. Chris Morris took three wickets while spinners Duminy and Aaron Phangiso picked up two wickets each. For the Lankan side, Angelo Perera top scored with 46 from 59 balls. Sri Lanka discard Jehan Mubarak was the next top scorer with 42 from 48 balls.

South Africans 271/6 in 50 Ovs (Hashim Amla 31, Alviro Petersen 43, JP Duminy 92, AB de Villiers 40, Faf du Plessis 40; Dhammika Prasad 2/50, Thisara Perera 2/49) beat Board President’s XI 198 all out in 44.5 Ovs (Angelo Perera 46, Jehan Mubarak 42; Chris Morris 3/27, JP Duminy 2/49, Aaron Phangiso 2/39)
