Although SRH are still in the bottom half of the points table, they would go into the match against KKR high on confidence having won their last two matches comprehensively by eight wickets. In their previous encounter, they got the better of the Gujarat Titans (GT), breaking their unbeaten streak.
SRH will be pleased with the fact that both Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson have got runs. Each of them has been the man of the match once in the team’s two wins. The duo added 64 in the last match. The injury to Rahul Tripathi will be a concern. At the same time, they would be pleased with Nicholas Pooran’s unbeaten 34 off 18, as he showed glimpses of great form.
In the bowling, T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were impressive in the last game while Marco Jansen also made an impact. Umran Malik is taking wickets, but he needs to be careful with his economy.
SRH Predicted XI: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, Jagadeesha Suchith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan
Shifting focus to KKR, they are second in the points table with three wins from five matches. However, in their last clash they got hammered by the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 44 runs. Umesh Yadav had his first off-day in the tournament while Pat Cummins and Varun Chakaravarthy also conceded a lot of runs.
The batting is a worry. Shreyas Iyer got a fifty but Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Sam Billings and Nitish Rana have all been struggling for consistency. As a result, by the time Andre Russell comes in, there is way too much to do for him. Kolkata need to do some soul searching.
KKR Predicted XI: Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (c), Sam Billings (wk), Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins, Umesh Yadav, Rasikh Salam, Varun Chakaravarthy
Top fantasy picks for SRH vs KKR clash: Kane Williamson, Abhishek Sharma, T Natarajan, Shreyas Iyer, Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine
