Royal Challengers Bangalore eased to an 8-wicket win over Delhi Daredevils in Match 2 of IPL 7 at Sharjah. Yuvraj Singh bounced back to form scoring an unbeaten 52 from 29 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Skipper Virat Kohli kept his consistency going with 49 not out from 38 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes.

RCB chasing just 146 got home with 20 balls to spare. None of the Delhi Daredevils’ bowlers showed any potential of bringing them back in the contest.

The Delhi Daredevils asked to bat first lost the match after being reduced to 35 for 4 by the 8th over. Mitchell Starc struck early when he bounced out Mayank Agarwal. Albie Morkel produced a beauty to have Skipper Dinesh Karthik nicking behind an outswinger for a first ball duck. Varun Aaron was lucky with a down the legside caught behind to dismiss Manoj Tiwary cheaply.

With Delhi under pressure, young leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal strangled the batsmen further. He first bowled Murali Vijay and then bowled out his four overs giving away only 18 runs. Chahal got the Man of the Match for these efforts.

Delhi Daredevils did recover from 35 for 4 to post a modest total of 145 with JP Duminy (67* from 48 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes) and Ross Taylor (43* from 39 balls) through a big unbroken partnership for the fifth wicket.

Toss and Teams: Royal Challengers Bangalore led by Virat Kohli have won the toss and chose to bowl first vs the Dinesh Karthik led Delhi Daredevils at Sharjah in Match 2 of IPL 7.

Chris Gayle is missing out in the RCB team and Kevin Pietersen sits out as far as Delhi Daredevils are concerned because of a finger injury.
