England’s Bowling Coach – David Saker has hinted that strike bowlers James Anderson and Stuart Broad could be rested for the Third Investec Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham next week against the West Indies. The hosts having secured the 3-match Series 2-0 can afford to rest the duo of Anderson and Broad. With the likelihood of these experienced pacers getting a break, their places could be taken by Steven Finn and Graham Onions.

England are having a busy schedule with a 3-Test Series coming up against South Africa which is expected to be very intense unlike the present series against a weakened West Indies. David Saker, the Bowling Coach did mention that it would be against the wish of both Anderson and Broad in omitting them but it was important for the team that these two strike bowlers rest their bodies ahead of the bigger series against the Proteas.
