As per media reports, Cricket Australia (CA) has decided upon the four venues that will host the India-Australia Test series later this year.

The four venues have been identified as Gabba, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. While the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will kick-off at Brisbane with the first Test to be played from December 3-7.

The second Test of the series will be the much-awaited Day-Night encounter at Adelaide, which will be played from December 11-15. The third and fourth Tests will be the traditional Boxing Day and New Year games to be played at MCG and SCG.

While the Melbourne Test will begin, as every year, on December 26, the Sydney Test will be held from January 3-7. Perth will not host India for any of the Test matches. However, the first-ever Australia-Afghanistan Test will take place at the venue from November 21-25. This will also be a Pink-ball Test.

Last time India visited Australia in 2018, Virat Kohli's men registered a historic 2-1 triumph.

Cricket Australia is likely to officially announce these dates on Friday along with the entire men's and women's schedule for 2020-21 for the country.

Australia is also scheduled to host the T20 World Cup in October-November this year, but the event is under a massive cloud owing to the Coronavirus pandemic.
