Subramaniam Badrinath scored an unbeaten 63 off 44 balls as the Chennai Super Kings thumped Pune Warriors India by 8 wickets in match 31 of IPL-4 at the DY Patil stadium on Wednesday.

Michael Hussey was brilliantly caught by Manish Pandey off the bowling of Murali Kartik as the Chennai Super Kings chased 142 for victory against Pune Warriors India in match 31 of IPL-4.

Earlier, Pune Warriors skipper Yuvraj Singh finished with an unbeaten 62 off 43 balls as his team ended with 141/6.

Earlier, Yuvraj stood tall against the Chennai Super Kings as wickets fell around him.

Pune Warriors India kept losing wickets at regular intervals as the Super Kings gained the upper hand after Yuvraj won the toss and elected to bat first.

The two teams are clashing against each other for the second time in three days.

Chennai Super Kings won a low scoring affair on Monday when they defended 142 and ended up as comfortable winners by 25 runs.

While defending champions Chennai are fifth in the points table with three wins and three losses, the Warriors are placed 8th with two wins and three losses.
