South Africa took the last two Indian wickets in just under 30 minutes on the final day's play to win the first Test at Centurion by an innings and 25 runs. Sachin Tendulkar remained unconquered with 111* (from 241 balls with 13 fours and a six).

Sreesanth was the first to be dismissed this morning edging a bouncing and seaming delivery from Morne Morkel to second slip and last man Jaidev Unadkat looked good until he got a steep rising ball from Steyn which he had to fend it off into the hands of third slip. Both Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel finished with 7 wickets each in the Test match. The Man of the Match was given to Jacques Kallis who scored his maiden double century to go along with two wickets and two catches.

The Proteas lead the 3-Test Series 1-0 with the second match coming up on the Boxing Day on the 26th at Kingsmead in Durban.
