Session 3:

India 465/4 vs New Zealand | Ajinkya Rahane 166*, Rohit Sharma 0* Patel starts session 3 with a dishaheen gend (VVS) and Rahane leg-glances for four. Kohli sweeps him brutally in the same over, four more, but… oh well, he is limping again. He tries to flick the next ball and misses, the finger goes up, that ends a top-class innings! Captain Kane shakes his hand on his way out as the entire New Zealand team applaud!

Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane would like to continue in the Indore as India eye big first innings total on Day 2 against New Zealand.

India continue their domination over New Zealand in the third Test as well and look good for a clean sweep in the three-match series. In the third Test, which began on Saturday in Indore, India rode on Virat Kohli’s ton and his unbeaten 167-run stand with Ajinkya Rahane to reach 267/3 at stumps on Day 1. Kohli led from the front and scored his 13th Test ton and first since his double hundred against West Indies in July, a wait of 11 innings. New Zealand, who picked three wickets with India score reading 100, failed to create chance with Kohli and Rahane and went wicket-less for close to one-and-a-half session. Rahane was troubled with the short ball but the Mumbai batsman struggled his way through and was 79* at close. India will like both Kohli and Rahane to continue their domination on Day 2 and entertain the Indore crowd, which was close to 19,000 people on first ever day of Test cricket in the city.
