Shah Rukh Khan, the King of the Indian cinema, has reiterated his desire to become a professional player and shine on the cricket ground as he sizzles on the silver screen. The super star is confident of his occult sporting skills and believes that he can become an outstanding player, especially at the times of trial.

Khan has been deeply attached with sports since his boyhood. He posed to be the captain of Football, Hockey and Cricket teams at the same time during his college life. Earlier, he was eager to become a player but his back injury forced him to snub his ambition and transfer his passion to the film industry.

In order to cater for his cricket hunger, he established an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which have played all four editions of India’s 20-over showpiece domestic tournament.

As Champion League T20 tournament is on the cards, Khan’s suppressed aspiration was refreshed once again and he has expressed it publically.

Talking to the media today, he said, “I want to play sports seriously. I would love to be a part of Champions League-45, where I would love to make my dream come true. My inclination towards sports goes back to the days in Delhi, when I would play at zonal level as a wicket-keeper. I would love to relive those moments at the age of 45 now.”

He further told, “I would plead to the organisers for the same, in fact, I have always recommended myself to them in the times of crisis, when the players can’t play due to injuries.”

Regarded as a religion, cricket runs in the blood of all the Indians from children to the elderly. Moreover, Team India’s recent glorious triumph in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 has perk this zeal up.

The Indians proudly claim that they have only two religions including cinema and cricket and they worship both frantically.
The King Khan, who has earned matchless fame in cinema, wants to turn up to cricket now and it remains to be seen how his franchise will fare in the upcoming Champions League T20.
