Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez took three wickets each to help Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 58 runs in the third one-day international on Tuesday and sweep the series 3-0.

Bangladesh had an opportunity to end a losing streak against Pakistan that has lasted 12 years, but the visiting spinners were good enough to put the target of 178 far out of their reach. The track was tailored to suit Bangladesh's strength - spin - but it backfired since they didn't have the batsmen capable of sticking it out long enough to entertain thoughts of earning a consolation win.

Chasing a winning target of 178, Bangladesh crumbled to 119 all out after 38 overs, with AbdurRehman and SaeedAjmal chipping in with two wickets apiece.

Mahmudullah and AbdurRazzak took three wickets each to restrict Pakistan to 177 in the third and final one-day international on Tuesday.

Pakistan was dismissed in 46.1 overs at Chittagong'sZahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. Mahmudullah bowled only 1.1 overs to finish with 3-4 while Razzak conceded 21 runs in his 10 overs that included two maidens.

UmarAkmal top-scored with 57 and skipper Misbah-ul-Haq made 47 but eight other batsmen failed to reach double figures. Younis Khan collected 26.
