Royal Challengers Bangalore eased to a 9-wicket win over Guyana with as many as 46 balls to spare. This was after Guyana asked to bat first by Kumble had folded cheaply to 103 against a quality RCB attack. Kumble led from the front with figures of 4-0-10-1. However, the best player of the evening was Jacques Kallis, starring both with bat and ball. Kallis first took 3 for 16 in 4 overs and then got an unbeaten 43 from 32 balls with the bat. And he was the obvious choice for the Man of the Match award.

One of the most entertaining moments of this match at Centurion came from Robin Uthappa who scored a blazing 25* from 8 balls which included two super sixes.
