Earlier, Kings' skipper Adam Gilchrist won the toss and elected to bat first.

The visitors made two notable changes in their playing eleven as Zaheer Khan missed Tuesday's encounter while Johan van der Wathgot a game. Luke Pomerscbach also made way for Asad Pathan.

The home side, on the other hand, brought in Abhishek Nayar in place of Bhargav Bhatt.

The RCB had come to this game after hard-hitting Chris Gayle helped them winning their seven previous encounters, while Kings XI had also won their last three matches.
