Tom Latham | NZ: It was disappointing, the start. We built a partnership in the middle, we knew it would be tough, but we kept losing wickets. We couldn't put it together today. Hope we take learnings from what happened today, we need to understand the conditions which are very different from what we have back home. If we put a competitive total and put some pressure then you never know what might happen. We need to work out what a good score is and find a way to get to that score. The guys will learn a lot from this, it's tough in these conditions, and hopefully, we do better in the next time.

Shakib Al Hasan | Man of the Match: It's a good feeling to win the first match of a series, given that we have never won against NZ. It will boost our team and give us confidence for the rest of the series. I think we have been bowling well throughout the Australia series and now against NZ. Our batting is not up to the mark but the conditions are not easy for batsmen so we have to play really good cricket to put up a decent total.

Mahmudullah | Bangladesh: It's a good feeling having lost a few matches. The first game is always important, but we need to come back and do this again. I think the key was that the bowlers have been hungry and disciplined, not trying to much, applying themselves in the conditions, and bowling really well. I would have batted first, we could've taken early wickets and put pressure on them, and that's not in our control, so whatever we do, we need to do it to the best of our abilities.
